You’ve got to believe
It was thought that a Four-Minute-Mile was humanly impossible.
Until Roger Banister did it - see the video below:
After the impossible was achieved many runners did the same shortly after – because they believed it could be done.
I picked up this little “train your golf brain” tid-bit from this
years Masters.
Schwartel first had to believe that it was possible before he could
achieve his victory and he capped it off with a stunning final round.
Schwartzel’s Masters Victory was similar to that of his good friend,
Louis Oosthuizen, who vaulted onto the national golf stage
with his win at the 2010 British Open.
“That was a huge inspiration,” said Schwartzel, speaking of
Oosthuizen’s British Open Victory.“To see Louis win The Open
Championship the way he did, you know, we grew up together from
a young age. We played every single team event, tournament against
each other, and we represented South Africa for so long.
“So we know where our level of golf is,
and just to see him do it made it, in my mind,
realize that it is possible, and just sort of maybe take it
over the barrier of
thinking that a major is too big for someone to win.”
You see not until he believed that winning a major was possible was he able to achieve his goal. It was truly a masterful victory mentally and physically.
When I’m outside practicing my chip shots in the backyard off of my golf chipping mat , I try to put myself on the course mentally, so that when these same shots happen in pressure situations – I’ve been there before and made the shot.
Golf Traning DVDs
The best golf training DVD’s that I have seen are the series by David Lee of Gravity Golf. If your looking for an in depth look at the golf swing and tips and drills on how to swing the golf club correctly these are for you.
I’ve been doing the Driver Drill for 3 weeks now and I’m driving the ball at least 20 yards farther. My playing partner grabbed me after the 7th hole asking what I was doing differently. I out drove him on 14 out of 14 drives.
Learn to hit the ball farther off the tee in just 15 minutes a day with these laser targeted golf training drills.
